Saturday night fun...

Most Saturday nights in the Lane house are reserved to spend time with the Sanchez family (the white mexican's). These night are cherished for us. We always sit down and have a good dinner, games, lots of chatting and more laughing than we can handle sometimes. We are truly thankful for the friends we have gained over the last several years and hope for many many more years of fun. We couldn't ask for better friends. We just love you Sanchez Fam! For whatever reason, and I hope those reasons never go away, Londyn and Abbie decide to clean Londyn's room quite often. (BTW...Sorry Abbie) This time they decided to make it into a game and they gave us "money" to get into the "ride" and upon arrival we got a welcome card. Those two girls can really keep busy!
Londyn and Abbie's welcome cards to every visitor to Londyn's newly cleaned room. These girls are too funny!

Here is a close up of the welcome card and the "money" that it took to enter such a special room.

Such cute girls! Londyn just loves having Abbie over to play.

Well Matt try not to look like you are having fun with the funnest family we know!

Awe...Look at all his DOLLA's...GANGSTA!

A little something funny...

One of the greatest joys of motherhood is listening to your children's vocabulary grow. Although we have to take the good with the bad for the most part at the age of two it is usually good. On the way to school, Brooklyn, out of the blue, told me "Mom, I no big on apples, I don't like them." The funny part is she wasn't eating an apple nor had she had one in the recent past. Kids seem to pick up everything we say, so I'd better watch my mouth.
Boo, you are such a darling! We love you so much!

Another moment of pride...

Today Londyn received an aware for being a great friend. Apparently there were a number of girls being exceptionally mean in class and Londyn told them it wasn't nice to talk that way and decided not to join in. So the teacher gave Londyn a "Good Friend Award". What courage that must have taken! I am so proud of Londyn for standing up for what is right, she truly is an amazing child! We just love you so!

So Proud...

As a school fundraiser to get another playground, the school decided to have a spelling bee contest. Every child was suppose to get donations for every word spelled right. This is the first spelling test Londyn had ever had. She worked so hard to learn the words and got 24 out of 25 right. We are so proud of all the hard work Londyn did to get these words right. She even told me that after the test she realized she spelled hand wrong. She though they said han.

Londyn and her test! You did awesome!
Here are the words. Londyn you are so smart! What great handwriting you have too!

Finally the tooth is gone...

Londyn's front tooth got loose way back in October and we just kept thinking it was going to fall out. We went to the dentist in November and he even said he thought the Tooth Fairy would visit before Santa but nope...still no Tooth Fairy. One month, then two and next thing you know 4 months had gone by and still the tooth was holding on strong! Finally, with Daddy's help the tooth got pulled!
Londyn's tooth that was hanging on for dear life!
She could push her tooth out over her bottom lip to give the appearance of a "redneck smile"

And it's gone!!

Unfortunately the tooth got dropped but with the help of the Tooth Fairies magical fairy dust, she got the tooth and left some money.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Every year Matt tries to find a way to make Valentine's Day special for me and what better way than a home made craft. He puts a lot of thought into them and takes the time to make something so nice for me. They are things I will cherish forever! This year has a particularly funny story to go along with the craft. Apparently Matt had found a "flower" craft but hadn't found the time to make it and Valentine's Day was fast approaching. So he told that me he needed to go to the bathroom, in the mean time, Brooklyn was covering herself from head to toe with a melted Creamie. The time finally comes when Brooklyn is in desperate need of a bath but Matt is still in the bathroom. I proceed to ask if he needs a magazine?? Is he almost done?? What's taking so long?? Basically I keep bugging him to get it done and get out so I can put Brooklyn in the bath. Well, Monday morning when I got to work there were 3 cards (one from Matt and 2 from the girls) and these darling crafts, made in the bathroom. Who says men can't multi-task!

Thanks Matt! These are great! I love you so much!!
I was hoping to have a special dinner made and surprise their girls with their Valentine's but poor Londyn ended up getting really sick so she didn't get to enjoy hers for several days.

Showing off their fun "Love Bugs"
I would like to thank Grandma and PaPa for always sending the kids such cute Valentine's in the mail. They just love to get mail and it's even better coming from the greatest Grandparents ever! We all love you very much!

Silliness...

With every passing day I get the chance to really get a glimpse at how silly Brooklyn is. Although she is only 2 her personality shines. She loves to giggle and that giggle is contagious! Next thing I know Londyn is right there with her giggling too. It's music to a mother's ears. Here are a few shots that capture how much fun Boo has in front of the camera so you can imagine how much fun she has behind it as well. We are so thankful to have this little blessing in our home, she brings so many laughs to us all.
For some reason Brooklyn loves to wear this hat.
And here is her silly face

Brooklyn saw Londyn going cross-eyed and she wanted to try.

What silly girls!!
